Electricity without compromise, at last!

FAR-A-DAY makes electric cars with small batteries perfectly versatile: light and economical for everyday use, and now also capable of long-distance travel.
The best of both worlds! ⚡⚡⚡

What is FAR-A-DAY?

How does it work?

Dashboard Faraday + 60 KWh

FAR-A-DAY offers a range extender that connects 60kWh of battery (over 300km on the freeway) in 2 minutes to your electric vehicle.

By connecting a Faraday, your electric car, adapted to your daily use, becomes a touring car with unbeatable range on long journeys. All this for the same price as a fast freeway recharge.

Book your Faraday and travel with peace of mind.

Your Faraday is waiting for you at the freeway entrance; it automatically connects to your vehicle, and you leave it behind as you leave the freeway.

An external battery for driving or charging your car

FAR-A-DAY pick-up and drop-off station

FAR-A-DAY offers you a modular battery that triples your range and eliminates the need to wait for recharging when you're driving an electric city car.

Faraday energy not only gives you an extra 300 km on the freeway, but also recharges your car's battery while you're on the move.

Our on-board computer (some would say "AI at your service", but let's not exaggerate!) constantly optimizes the energy supply from the Faraday so that you arrive at your destination with the battery level - and therefore the range - you have chosen to complete your journey.

How can I benefit from FAR-A-DAY?

Which cars are compatible with a Faraday?

Autonomous connection in less than 2 minutes

The Faraday is designed to connect to any electric vehicle authorized to travel on the freeway.

To benefit from the FAR-A-DAY service, simply install our towbar incorporating the electrical connection specifically developed for your electric vehicle model.

When you're not using it to connect your Faraday, our towbar is also compatible for towing any type of trailer, or installing a bike carrier. 2-in-1 equipment!

To do this, simply clip on the removable ball.

‍Whereare the FAR-A-DAY stations?

From the end of 2026, FAR-A-DAY will open its first stations across France, reaching a network of 30 stations by 2027, covering more than 80% of the long-distance journeys made by the French every year.

We will then roll out a dense network in France, with a station less than 50 km away on every long-distance route, by 2028, and a European network by 2030.

FAR-A-DAY stations are easily accessible wherever you are, whether you're on the way to your destination, at a freeway service area or at a car-sharing point on an expressway.

Expansion of FAR-A-DAY stations

A Faraday gives you the autonomy to travel at motorway speed over a radius of more than 300km. You can then drop off your Faraday at the FAR-A-DAY station reserved for you.

If your journey continues, exchange your used Faraday for a fully-charged Faraday in 2 minutes, without leaving your vehicle, and without waiting!

A sustainable solution

Low-carbon mobility accessible to all

The electric vehicle is more comfortable and reduces our CO2 emissions.

To be truly accessible to all, it needs to be capable of occasional long-distance travel.

With FAR-A-DAY, there's no need to carry around an oversized, heavy and expensive battery.

An electric car for under €20,000 can finally travel far, and more comfortably than a premium model.

Smooth integration into the power system

Faradays are recharged during off-peak hours with low-carbon energy, 30% of which is generated locally by the photovoltaic panels of the stations' shading (average over one year).

When not in use on the road, Faradays are connected and deliver services to the power grid, in particular to store intermittent renewable electricity and return carbon-free electricity to the grid during peak consumption periods.

A massive reduction in the environmental footprint of long-distance travel

The Faraday battery is a more virtuous alternative to rapid recharging. It is useful 90% of the time, as a range extender or as storage for the power grid.

Whereas this same battery would be useful only 0.5% of the time if it were on board a large car for long-distance journeys only. 180 times better! It's a powerful motor for reducing the environmental footprint of electric mobility even further!

A solution developed with leading engineering firms

R&D in partnership with leading manufacturers

We have collaborated with Renault (on the Zoé and Master), Fiat (with the electric Fiat 500) and Stellantis (on the e-208 and Jumper) to develop several prototypes, under the name EP-Tender.

Over 200,000 km have been covered with the various prototype versions, from the Zoé to the Jumper.

Roadholding and ease of use, whatever the terrain! A flawless user experience!

A patented solution for reversing

FAR-A-DAY holds an international patent for its Reverse Guidance System.

Two steering wheels guide the Faraday as the vehicle reverses, making the maneuver perfectly transparent.

These two wheels deploy only when reverse gear is engaged.

Free the electric car

Battery as a Service

FAR-A-DAY reconciles the marginal need for extended autonomy - long trips account for only 5% of all journeys - and accessibility for all, by offering a pay-as-you-go extended autonomy service, via a fleet of batteries available for rental at our FAR-A-DAY stations.

The recharge provided by the Faraday will be the price of a fast freeway recharge, without the inconvenience of waiting to recharge.

On your journey, you can pick up a Faraday (Pick Up) from a station, drop it off (Drop Off), or swap it (Swap) to benefit again from a 60 kWh range extension.

A unique innovation designed for real needs

Individuals

Drive your Zoé or e-208 every day; go far away whenever you want.

Aldine and Xavier can finally sell their C4 Picasso and travel in their e-208 even on vacation.

Professionals

A utility vehicle, van, minivan for all uses: everyday & exceptional travel.

The few last-minute Grenoble - Lyon round trips are no longer an obstacle to switching to an electric utility vehicle, as you can charge, while driving.

Car rental & car sharing

Make your vehicles more attractive for vacations and weekends.

Zoé cars for short-term rental in your fleet, or for car-sharing in your commune, finally have access to customers wanting to get away for the weekend.

Communities & Fleets

Give your fleet of service vehicles a new lease of life, with new capacities for regional missions.

Fleet Managers, add value to your Zoe or e-208 fleet by making them compatible with long-distance travel, for your constituents or employees.
